PG - Two Years Programme

MPA Vocal Music :

Admission Criteria:
A candidate seeking admission to the program must possess Bachelor Degree such as BPA/B.Mus./B.A. (Music) or Bachelor Degree in any discipline with Diploma/ Prabhakar/Visharad or U.G. equivalent degree in Vocal Music with a minimum of 45% marks of equivalent grade/CGPA. The same for OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates shall be 40%.

Admission Procedure :
Admission will on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) and Audition both. Weightage is equally distributed for admission. 

MPA Theatre Arts: -

Admission Criteria :
A candidate seeking admission to the program must possess bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimus of 45% marks of equivalent grade/CGPA. The same for OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates shall be 40%.

Admission Procedure :
Admission will on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET)/University Entrance Test, and Audition both. Weightage is equally distributed for admission. 
For the audition/interview, candidates are expected to come prepared to perform a dramatic passage from a play of their choice. Other talents like music, dance, mine, martial arts, drawing etc. will be an added advantage. Candidates who fail to attend to audition/interview, cannot be selected irrespective of the marks they secured in the written exam.

 

PhD Music

PhD Theatre Arts

Admission Criteria : Admission in PhD programme is open to all those candidates who have obtained Master degree in Theatre Arts/Theatre Studies/Performance Studies or any other equivalent discipline with 55% marks or equivalent grade/CGPA (Relaxation to reserved category applicants is permitted as per University norms)

Admission Procedure :Admission to Ph.D. programme is ordinarily made at the beginning of each academic session. Notification for admission is usually flashed in the month of March every year. It is processed through Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or any other examination as decided by the University. Prospective applicants are required to appear in Ph.D. Entrance Test. However, candidates having M.Phil./NET/JRF in concerned/relevant disciplines are exempted from appearing in Entrance Test, but they are mandatorily required to fill the application form.

The notification for the admission in the courses starts from Feb. followed by entrance examination (possibly in May-June). The academic session commenced from July every year. For more details please visit admission page.
