Brief intro: | Dr. Deepika Srivastava serving as an Assistant Professor, Department of Performing Arts, Central University of Jharkhand. Born (1981) in an aroma of music, Deepika is the fourth-generation musician of the Bhattacharya family represents Allahabad’s rich cultural heritage. At the tender age of four she was introduced to music by her grandfather and indebted to her Guru Dr,Geeta Banerjee,her dada guru Pandit Ramashraya Jha and Pandit Channulal Mishra a reputed name in the field of Indian Classical Music for blessing her with all their learning, specialized in Hindustani Classical vocal music (Khayal singing style) and also a performer of different genres of Indian music, performed on various reputed stages and graded artist of AIR, Doordarshan, EZCC. Having good academic background she hold Ph.D degree, NET, Sangeet Praveen, National scholarship awarded by Ministry of culture, Holder of Chancellor Silver Medal, University of Allahabad, National Gold Award by Global Management council, received Award of appreciation by Honorable VC, CUJ, published research papers in various reputed journals, A book titled ‘Rabindra Sangeet Mein Sangeetik Tatva’ is published in 2011, presented papers in various International, national conferences. She has special approach to teach “Hindustani Classical and Semi- Classical Music, Rabindra Sangeet” in very traditional methods with modern approach. Music for her conveys the messages of peace, transcendence, joy and beauty, pantheistic in its appeal. |

Brief intro: | Venkata Naresh Burla is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Performing Arts at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi India since June, 2013. He has received his M.P.A. in Theatre Arts from University of Hyderabad and MAIPR (with Erasmus Mundus Scholarship) from University of Tampere, Finland and University of Amsterdam. He holds Ph.D. degree from Department of Theatre Arts, University of Hyderabad. He has also worked in the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Bengaluru and at Department of Theatre Arts, University of Hyderabad. To his credit, he has directed many plays and worked as a designer for some plays. Gopal Ki Duniya, Macbeth and Hayavadana are some plays directed by him in the University Campus and in the Andhra Pradesh Theatre Circle. He has coordinated academic programs on Cultural Creative Expressions-Performing Arts and contributed few articles for edited volumes. |

Brief intro: | Mr Anirban Debsarma joined as an Assistant Professor of Performing Arts, at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, in April 2021. He is an MPA in Theatre Arts from the Central University of Hyderabad. He has worked as an Actor-Facilitator and Assistant Director with Jana Sanskriti Centre for the Theatre of the Oppressed and supervised its satellite theatre teams and training programmes. He is also a visiting faculty in the Department of Performing Arts at Ranchi University. As a playwright he adapted Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” into “Khelar Ghar” and also transliterated Sophocles’ “Antigone” into Bengali. |
