Centre for Land Resource Management : Events

  1. Dept. of Geography & Dept. of Geoinformatics in collaboration with Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG)- Ranchi Chapter organized the event “Application of Geoinformatics and Electrical Resistivity Techniques in Groundwater Investigations" from 12th to 14th April, 2023
  2. Organized Field Exposure Visits for LRM Senior Batch Integrated M.Tech Geoinformatics Students of CUJ, Ranchi to Uranium Mines on 04.04.2016 & 05.04.2016 and CCL Coal Mines on 18.04.2016 of JharkhandCentre successfully conducted a 08 Day tour to Visakhapatnam during 22nd to 29th Dec. 2014 as a part of their academic course curriculum activity. The tour was coordinated by Prof. A.C. Pandey and Er. KiranJalem to provide a field exposure. Students also visited various organizations and institutes in the region i.e., Visakhapatnam (IMD Centre in Andhra University Campus, Doppler Radar Visit on Eastern Ghat Hill-KailasaGiri, Bhimili Red Land Hills, Araku Valley, Light House on Dolphin Hill, Visit to Naval Dockyard-Submarine Cruise etc. and to study the post Hudhud Cyclone impact on north coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh.
  3. Centre organized One Day Seminar on “Microvita – A New Science of Reality” on November 28, 2014.Guest of Honour, Dr. H. J. Rodolph, Founding Member and chairman of Microvita Research e.v., Germany delivered a lecture on Microvita.

  4. Centre organized 1st Meeting of the Board of Studies (BOS) of Centre for Land Resource Management (CLRM) on 17 November 2014.

  5. Centre organized and successfully completed 14thISRO EDUSAT outreach Certificate course on basics of RS, GIS&GNSS during 4th August to 14th November 2014.

  6. 56 students of Int. M.Tech& M.Sc. visited Survey of India, Ranchi Campus for an exposure of Photogrammetry and surveying in the month of November 2014.

  7. Centre organized One day academic field tour to ‘Tyma Watershed’ in Gola Block, Ranchi, for the M.Sc. and M.Tech. Integrated (Geoinformatics) students to have an exposure to watershed management techniques adopted by people in the region in April 2014.

  8. Students completed 12th ISRO EDUSAT outreach Certificate course on ‘Microwave Remote Sensing and its Application’ during 3rd Feb. to 30th March, 2014.

  9. Central Ground Water Board, Govt. of India has organized a 05 days Seminar-cum-training programme during 11 to 15 March 2014 with Centre for Land Resource Management (CLRM) at CUJ Campus, in which 35 participants from various national organizations attended the training programme.

  10. Organized Mockdrill exercises on Fire fighting, Search & Rescue on 26.10.13 & 13.11.13 in CUJ, Brambe Campus in collaboration with Jharkhand Fire Service & National Adventure Foundation Chapter-Bihar & Jharkhand

  11. Organized Seminar-cum-Poster Exhibition on the eve of 25th World Ozone Day on the theme “Protecting our Atmosphere for Generations to Come” in Central University of Jharkhand in collaboration with Centre for Environmental Sciences on 16th September, 2012.
