Ranchi, Jan 12, 2016:Two days seminar organised by TERI in academic collaboration with Centre for Land Resource Management

Recognising the multi-dimensionalpotential of young minds in realising the sustainable development goals, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) - in collaboration with The Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth affairs and Sports conducted an interactive youth seminar at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, Brambe with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and skill development in youth to enable them to take proactive approaches of social responsibility through entrepreneurship.


“Entrepreneurship & Skilling: A Springboard for Sustainable Development”, the two-day seminar witnessed the presence of more than 115 youth from academic institutions, NGOs, National Service Scheme (NSS), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and other youth groups from Ranchi, participants from Central University Of Jharkhand, St. Xavier’s College, Xavier’s Institute of Social Science, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial College & Ranchi University, young professionals under the age group of 30 years and enthusiastic individuals willing to voice their opinions and contribute towards a sustainable future.  

Two days seminar organised by TERI in academic collaboration with Centre for Land Resource Management, Central University of Jharkhand was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of CUJ , Prof. Nand Kumar Yadav “Indu”. Prof A.C. Pandey, Dean School of Natural Resource Management, proposed the vote of thanks.  The technical session with invited lectures was given by Dr.MadhukarShukla, Prof.  XLRE, Mr.Gobinda Dalai, Mr. Shadab Hassan and a Soft skill session by Dr.SridarBabu , Area convenor, TERI.
The seminar will stretch till 13th January 2016 noon, with a view of active participation of the youths from different universities.
