CUJ celebrated 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel
Ranchi, Mar 19, 2016: Central University of Jharkhand celebrated 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel with great enthusiasm. In this three days long celebration, university organised different competitions for the students.
Third day of the celebration begins with flag hoisting by the Hon’ble VC Prof. Nand Kumar Yadav ‘Indu’ and sapling of plant by the Prof. Indu. In his speech, he said from today’s onwards there will be flag hoisting every day in our university as per the guidance of MHRD.

On this concluding day, a short audio-visual presentation titled ‘Glimpses of CUJ’ made by the Centre for Mass Communication was screened. This was followed by one episode of ‘Pradhanmantri’ a television series produced by ABP news channel. In mid of all these, students of university enthralled the audience through their mesmerizing dance performances which were based upon the theme ‘Samagam’.
Speech competition was organised on the topic ‘Relevance of the thoughts of Patel in the modern context’ and winners are Mr. Vaibhav Kumar, Centre for Business Administration, Ms. Nupoor Sinha, Centre for English Studies and, Ms. Shivangi Saurav, Centre for Business Administration respectively.

Mr. Animesh Kumar Tiwary, Centre for Nanotechnology, Mr. Anwar M. K. Centre for Nanotechnology, and Ms. Eva Jyoti Lakra, Centre for Tribal and Customary Law respectivelyare winners of quiz competition on ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai’s Patel Vision of India’.
Winners of poster making and essay competitions are respectively, Mr. Rupesh Kumar, CWEM, Ms. Dhruva Kumari, CAP, Ms. Kalapna Singh, CAM and M. Raj Nandini, CBA, Mr. Pranav Kumar, CBS and Ms. Ekta Singh, EVS.
