Ranchi, Jan 26, 2016:Youth should contribute in the development of the country – Prof. Yadav

‘The future of a nation belongs to the youth so they should constructively contribute for the development of the India. Youths should follow the ideals of freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their life for the country. The future of the nation has lots of opportunities and we should prepare ourselves for that’. Addressing students, teachers and employees on the occasion of 67th Republic Day of the nation, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jharkhand, Prof. Nand Kumar Yadav ‘Indu’ said this. Before this speech he received guard of honour and hoisted the national flag in the university campus situated in Brambe. 

In a brief program organized on the occasion of Republic Day, students of Centre for Music and Performing Arts presented several patriotic songs. Girl students of the Centre for Education performed two street plays on the issues related to women education on this occasion. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Yadav also felicitated the scouts of university unit of National Service Scheme (NSS) and distributed certificates among them.

At the end, sweets were distributed on this occasion. Along with the Registrar of the University Prof. R. K. Dey other senior professors Prof. S. K. Samdarshi, Prof. S. Medhekar, Prof. A. C. Pandey, Dr. Ashok Kumar Sarkar and Dr. Dev Vrat Singh were also present in this function. Later on, flag was also hoisted in the upcoming new campus of the university in Cheri-manatu and sweet was distributed among the nearby villagers.
