Eight Students of Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) have earned fellowship in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014.(April, 01,2014)

Ranchi, April 1: In a major feat, eight students of Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) have earned fellowship in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014.

Of this, six students including Nitish Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Dibyashree Koushik, Krishna Kumar, Harshit Oraon and Rishu Kumar are from Centre for Nano Technology and two students, Vivek Vaibhav and Prerna Prasad from Centre for Water Engineering. 

All the eight semester students will receive fellowship of at least rs 8000 per month until they complete their M Tech courses.

According to Dr G Singh, assistant professor of Centre for Nano Technology and Dr V K Tripathy, assistant professor of Centre for Water Engineering, the students will start drawing their fellowship from next semester.

 

Vice Chancellor Prof A N Mishra congratulated the students on their success and hoped that this would inspire others to do better.

Registrar Prof R K Dey termed as “stupendous” the success of the students saying their qualifying the GATE 2014 is an added feather in the CUJ’s hat.
