CUJ's students exchange prog with foreign Univ continues to yield fruits

Ranchi, Feb 26: Three more students of Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) are going to be enrolled in a university in South Korea under One-Year Student Exchange Porgramme beginning March 3, 2014.

This is the third batch of students from CUJ reaping benefits from this venture with Yeungnam University, South Korea.

The three students selected for the programme included Venkatesh Vivek Ranjan (Centre for Nanotechnology), Deepak Bari (Centre for International Relations) and Akansha Sahay (Centre for Mass Communication). Their programme will end on February 28, 2015.

Early this year (2014), six CUJ students have returned from Yeungnam University after successful completion of a semester (6 months) there. The exchange programme began when with one student qualifying early last year (2013). All the students were awarded full scholarship.

Vice Chancellor Prof Darlando T Khathing said the students’ exchange porgramme initiated in Central University of Jharkhand started yielding result as altogether 10 students have already been selected under full scholarship from the South Korea University.

On programme with other foreign universities exclusively for students, the Vice Chancellor said eleven students have been selected by Indiana University Pennsylvania (USA), to be given specialized training in nanotechnology instrumentation techniques during the summer break next.

He said the CUJ is committed to providing a global platform for its students in true sense of the term. He hoped for more such arrangement with foreign universities for the students.
