Ranchi, Feb 6: Music maestreo Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia rendered flute recital keeping the audience spellbound at Central University of Jharkhand today.  


This is part of the SPIC MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) programme to spread far and wide the movement to cover all educational institutions in the country by year 2020 to reach every child in the country.


The programme titled Fest Series, began from the Central University of Jharkhand.

The maestro played an invocation in raga Yaman accompanied by Rashid Mustafa on Tabla, Vivek Sonar on flute. Coordinator of Centre for Music and Pwerforming Art of CUJ Deepa Sahi played tanpura.

A large number of students and staff of CUJ were present on the occasion.

Registrar Prof A K Sarma delivered the welcome speech and felicitated the musical group.
