A bi-annual magazine by students of Central University of Jharkhand tilted ‘Naman’, aimed at paying tribute to science, literature, culture and society, was formally launched today (16th May, 2014)

Ranchi, May 16: A bi-annual magazine by students of Central University of Jharkhand tilted ‘Naman’, aimed at paying tribute to science, literature, culture and society, was formally launched today.

The inauguration was graced by Jharkhand Women Commission chairperson Dr Mohua Manjhi as chief guest besides vice chancellor of CUJ Prof A N Misra, former dean of Languages (CUJ) Prof B P Sinha, deans and faculty members, administrative staff and students at a simple function.

The chief guest in her speech praised the students for their initiative and said they had a major role in enlightening the society, in particular Jharkahd, haunted by superstitions. Dr Manjhi assured the students of all possible help in their mission.

Vice chancellor Prof Misra congratulated the students’ initiative being supported by faculty members and hoped that they bring out the magazines highlighting issues that need attention.

Prof Sinha, who helped the students in bringing out the magazine, hoped that they would keep sustained effort to ensure that issues see the light of the day in future too.

Prof A K Sharma (Eng) said it is a noble idea to bring out the magazine which bespeaks of intellectually vibrant role of CUJ staundets.
