Brief introduction:
  Before joining the Department  in the year 2013, I cleared my NET in Performing Arts (Theatre) in 2005  and NET-JRF in Urdu Literature. Also completed my 2 years Acting Course from Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi (2000-02). As a freelancer in Mumbai, I had been associated with Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company. Presently pursuing my Ph.D. from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan(W.B).
Administrative responsibilities (with active period) With duration:
 
  1. Worked as a Warden, Boys Hostel from 19th Aug 2013 to 2016.
  2. Member, Board of Studies, Department of Contemporary and Tribal Customary Law, w.e.f. 29/03/2019 to till date.
  3. Members of different committees of the University.
Additional role/ responsibility:
  Served as Team Manager -  two times in National and one time in Zonal Youth Festival.

Program Organized:
 
  1. Directed a full-length play “Collage of Emotions” (a devised play) with first year MPA and BPA students on 15th April, 2019 at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  2. Directed a full length play “Return of Eklavya” by Salam bin Razzaque with the students of Central University of Jharkhand, performed in a National Theatre Festival at Audrey House, Ranchi in March 2019. Later converted in one act and won the 2nd best play award in Zonal Youth Festival at Darbhanga.
  3. Directed a full-length play “Doosra Adhyay” by Ajay Shukla  was performed in National Theatre Festival, Kolkata and   at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi in November 2018.
  4. Directed a full length play “Waiting for Godot” by Samuel Beckett with second year MPA students on 30th November 2017 at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  5. Directed a full length play “Saari Raat” by Badal Sircar with first year MPA students on 8th & 9th May 2017 at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
  6. Directed a full length play “Court Martial” by Swadesh Deepak with final year MPA students on 22nd & 23rd  November 2016 at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Later the play was invited in many National Theatre Festivals in 2017.
  7. Directed a full length improvised play based on the satirical piece of Hari Shankar Parsai’s “Das Din Ka Anshan” with MPA(Theatre) students which was presented on 21st September 2015 at IINRG, Ranchi.
  8. Directed a play “Ankahi Shuruaat” based on the two stories of Bhishm Sahni on the occasion of World Theatre Day on 27th March 2015.

  3. Adapted the play “Madhyam Vyayog” originally written by   Mahakavi Bhasa (in Sanskrit),which were staged in various National Festivals i.e.Bharat Rang Mahotsav(Organised by National School of Drama,New Delhi), Nehru Centre Festival,Mumbai and Nandikar Festival(Organised by Nandikar, Kolkata) in the year  2004-05.
