Brief introduction :  

Dr. Chandra Shekhar Dwivedi is an Assistant Professor with expertise in the field of geography, specifically focusing on areas such as coastal dynamics, groundwater, land transformation, natural hazards assessment, permafrost, and climate change studies in the Himalayas. Dr. Dwivedi has contributed significantly to research in geography and has published 30 research articles and one book. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including the application of remote sensing and GIS in geospatial analysis and the study of natural hazards, permafrost, coastal dynamics, and land transformation. Dr. Dwivedi has been involved in several research projects funded by prestigious organizations such as the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). These projects focus on mineral prognostication, permafrost destabilization, and the 3D laser scanner mapping and monitoring of Buddhist monasteries for conservation planning. He has guided and supervised more than 40 M.Tech., M.Sc., M.A., and undergraduate dissertations, and is currently supervising three ongoing Ph.D. students.

In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Dwivedi has been actively involved in academic and administrative responsibilities. He has also taken on various administrative roles, including serving as a Coordinator of Geography Department, a member of the Academic Council, member of Board of Studies, and Alumni Association, and coordinating student welfare and alumni activities. His commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of geography and nurturing the academic growth of students, which is evident through his extensive research publications and his guidance to numerous students at different academic levels.
