Dr. Upendra Kumar works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hindi at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. He has eleven years of teaching experience to his credit. Prior to his present position, he has taught in Dyal Singh College & College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi. He has also been associated with IGNOU and SOL, University of Delhi. As a Project Fellow at NCERT he was involved in content writing along with script writing for various documentaries based on some eminent Hindi Poets. The quest for innovative pedagogical methods in teaching and learning makes him deeply involved to include the Post Graduates, the Undergraduates, along with various Training programs conducted to train students even at school level. He has eleven research papers published in various reputed journals. The hectic hours of teaching and research provides him with fresh impetus to remain passionate about short-story writing especially for children. He also contributes as a vibrant member for different academic assignments which includes Course Structure, Syllabi and Curriculum Development Committees. His zeal to work willfully accepts administrative responsibilities of wardenship and Hindi Officer (In-charge).
