Professor Kshiti Bhusan Das, M.Com, Ph.D and D.Litt. (Commerce) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He is a National Fellow of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. He is an esteemed member of ICSSR’s Collegium of Eminent Social Scientists and a member of the Advisory Committee of ERC-ICSSR, He is also a member of the Governing Council of the Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies, Bhubaneswar.
He had served in the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU, New Delhi and Central University, Odisha before assuming office of the Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jharkhand. He is the former Professor, Head, Department of Commerce and Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He also served as Registrar and Director, College Development Council of the Same University.
He is the immediate past Chairperson of NCTE-ERC. He served as Member of various Committees of UGC. Prof. Das also have assessed various academic institutions for NAAC accreditation.
He was the Visiting Professor, University of Mauritius (2011-13) and Resource Person--R. Asia-Pacific University, Oita, Japan (2014), JEPA (Japan Economic Policy Association), Tokyo, 2010, University of Hull, U.K. 2007, along with Tribhuban University, Nepal 2011.
Prof. Das has completed seven research projects sponsored by ICSSR, UGC and Ministry of Youth Affairs amounting to more than Rs.25 lakhs during his career.
He has supervised eight scholars for Ph.D and twenty five M.Phil dissertations. Prof. Das to his credit has Seven Books published and more than 94 research articles publications in national and international reputed and referred journals. Apart from these academic accomplishments, he served in various Executive Councils and Boards of Management of Universities as Nominee of the Visitor and AICTE. He discharged his responsibility in various committees of UGC and other several agencies in preparing policy guidelines. He is an excellent administrator known for his innovative ideas and out of the box thinking. He is an acknowledged mentor of students and during his career of more than three decades involved in student counselling and placement.
